About Me

"If you want to build a ship, don't drum up people together to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea." - Antoine de Saint Exupéry

Welcome!

Aesthetic designs, holistic strategies, passion for learning.

When it comes to my work, these are the three tenets that guide my every action. I am motivated by my passion for learning and desire to further the education of others. I seek to help others grow beyond what they thought they could achieve.

What you really need to know....

I'm exceptionally skilled in the field of education.

I have a bachelors in education as well as six years of experience working with learners across platforms. I also have a certificate in adult learning and instructional design through the Instructional Design Institute.

I possess a strong aptitude for research.

With a bachelors and masters degree in the field of historical study, I have developed the research skills and tools necessary to ensure my learning experiences are well informed and supported by hard evidence and data.

I have an eye for graphic design.

I am proficient in skills needed to design eLearning that is visually appealing, has a natural flow, and is a smooth learning experience.

I excel in collaborative efforts.

I've worked with SMEs and been in the position of a SME to build an exciting and effective learning experience for my learners. Collaborating and ensuring all stakeholders are informed and valued is a core value to my design process. As of November 2023 I have completed training in how to ensure my work with SMEs is productive and built upon a strong professional relationship.

I'm proficient in the art of public speaking.

Working as a teacher for six years meant I was constantly speaking to larger groups of people. Whether its for a classroom of 30 or a venue of 300, I am confident and carry myself well at the podium.

I understand how people learn, think, and find motivation.

With six years of teaching as well as studying pedagogy and andragogy I have a firm grasp of how to design effective and engaging online learning. In my experiences I have curated and modified curriculums to meet the needs of diverse groups of learners. In addition, I always strive to ensure the activities I provide are exciting, engaging, and applicable to the real world.

Outside Instructional Design

When I am not developing learning experiences I am often exploring my new home of Philadelphia. I travel as often as I can with Paris being the latest destination I was able to visit. In my down time I enjoy reading, attending the theater, and playing board games with family and friends. I also play Dungeons & Dragons and have worked as a game master for players around the world. I am forever grateful for the people who have helped me transition to a new city and look forward to the adventures ahead with them especially with my fiancé.
